Zoo Tycoon 2 Endangered Species is a zoo simulator game for Windows PC.

Zoo Tycoon 2 Endangered Species is rated E for Everyone. The game allows players to create their own zoo and then populate it with rare and endangered animals from around the world. It is an expansion pack which is meant for the game Zoo Tycoon 2. This pack offers new animals, scenes from the sky trams, Jeep vehicle tours, the ability to create observation decks and bridges, and brand new buildings and scenery related to the endangered species animals which are available. Players are allowed to play the game as though they are a visitor to the zoo, or as though they are a zoo keeper.

Filled with wild animals, Zoo Tycoon 2 Endangered Species also provides players with new missions and fresh challenges based on the needs of the endangered species animals. One goal of this game, as with the other Zoo Tycoon games in the series, is to attract the largest possible amount of visitors without stressing the animals. Some newcomers to Zoo Tycoon 2 Endangered Species are crested gibbons, grey wolves, Javan rhinos and Galapagos giant turtles, Florida Panthers, and Koalas. New scenery includes volcanoes which erupt, geysers which spurt, and bat caves.

The minimum requirements for Zoo Tycoon 2 Endangered Species PC is Windows XP/Vista/7. This game is not to be confused with its other expansion pack, which is Microsoft Zoo Tycoon 2: African Adventure Expansion Pack - PC. The Zoo Tycoon series was created by Blue Fang Games and published by Microsoft in 2001. Expansion packs for the first game in the series are Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs and Zoo Tycoon: Marine Mania, released in 2002. Zoo Tycoon 2 Endangered Species came out in 2004.

Zoo Tycoon 2 Endangered Species offers three ways of playing the game. These are called Tutorial, Scenario, and Freeform. In the tutorial, players learn how to build the exhibits and keep their animal as well as human guests happy. There is also information so that players can research individual species and find hints and tips for the best way to play. Scenario offers players a series of objectives. Freeform is the most creative; it gives players an open lot and money, and the goal is to make something interesting for it and profit.
